How should I wash my Didriksons jacket?

Always follow the care label inside your garment.

Before washing

  • Close all buttons, zips, buckles and hook-and-loop fastenings.
  • Turn the garment inside out to reduce wear on its coating.
  • Read the recommended washing programme and temperature.

During washing

  • Use a mild detergent and avoid fabric softener, which can reduce water repellency.
  • Use the programme and temperature stated on the label.
  • If hand-washing, do not leave the garment to soak.

After washing

Remove the garment promptly. Avoid routine tumble-drying because it causes unnecessary wear. Drying cabinets are not generally recommended because they can become too hot. If the label permits cabinet drying, do not exceed the recommended washing temperature: for example, a 40°C washing limit also means a maximum cabinet temperature of 40°C.

To reactivate water repellency, use only the brief heat treatment allowed by the garment's care label. Galon® needs no reproofing and should not be tumble-dried or dried in a heating cabinet.

Wash when needed rather than unnecessarily.
