When should I reproof my Didriksons jacket?
Most of our outerwear has a PFC-free dirt- and water-repellent surface treatment. Its effectiveness can diminish with frequent use and wear.
Wash the garment when it becomes dirty, following its care label. After washing, a brief heat treatment permitted by the label can help reactivate water repellency, for example light ironing or a few minutes of tumble or cabinet drying where allowed.
After several washes or extensive wear, a new water-repellent treatment may be needed. Choose a PFC-free reproofing product and follow both its instructions and your garment's care label.
Galon® does not require reproofing and should not be exposed to tumble-dryer or drying-cabinet heat.
